Greenhouse gases: tackling the issue

Published on 4 October 2021

Recent events have once again reminded us of the climatic emergency facing all of humanity and ecosystems: more intense and frequent forest fires, floods, droughts, temperature differences from norms leading to melting of the ice... all these events are visible signs of the dramatic consequences of the accumulation of greenhouse gases in the earth's atmosphere. Each year, new extremes are crossed and climatic events that were previously exceptional are becoming the norm, even in our regions.

Now, more than ever, it is time for action. You will hear from speakers from several sectors of society that there are many solutions to contain the increase in global temperatures to max 1.5°C.

Will be invited to share their expertise:

  • Célia Sapart, Director Communications and Climate Science - CO2 Value Europe
  • Christina Ehlert, Member of Conseil Supérieur pour un Développement Durable
  • Frédéric Meys, Project Manager - IMS Luxembourg
  • Olivier Vassart, CEO - ArcelorMittal Steligence
  • Bruno Renders, CEO - CDEC, Conseil pour le Développement Economique de la Construction
  • Ulrik Fugmann, Co-Head Environmental Strategies Group, ESG Champion - BNP Paribas Asset Management
  • Michael Finucane, Climate Officer - BEI
  • Edouard Lambrechts, Director - Graine de Vie
