CDEC's motivations to participate in IMS Luxembourg’s activities:

CDEC, Conseil pour le Développement Economique de la Construction (Council for the Economic Development of the Construction Industry), was set up in 2008 as a not-for-profit organisation with the aim of steering an integrated strategy for the sector, in order to help all its players to achieve sustainable competitiveness. CDEC is part of an ecosystem designed to give entrepreneurs the means to succeed. It is in this sense that the strength of the IMS network and all the tools on offer (workshops, events, publications, networking) strongly motivates us to take part in your activities and to be part of your network so that we are always on the lookout for subjects related to sustainable development and all its components.

CDEC's Sustainable Development Policy:

Our sustainable development policy is based on 3 clearly identified and defined sectoral challenges common to the Group's ecosystem:
> reducing our carbon footprint, in particular the sectoral carbon footprint, by identifying concepts, structures, resources and projects aimed at helping the Luxembourg construction sector to reduce its carbon footprint and implement Low Carbon construction,
> promoting eco-circular construction; by helping the Luxembourg construction sector to put in place concepts, structures, resources and projects to promote processes that are more economical in terms of materials and energy, while at the same time embracing innovative technologies. The Group's action also aims to encourage the emergence of new approaches in terms of Construction 4.0 (industrialisation and digitalisation) and the use of Green and Clean technologies.
> Promote responsible management by supporting actions, programmes and projects aimed at better integrating the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility and efficient sustainability management into the management of both projects and construction companies. The concepts of GRI, ISO 26000, reporting on extra-financial criteria, the emergence of new "eco-friendly" models and, more topical still, the future CSRD directive on the framework for extra-financial reporting, will be an integral part of this managerial approach.

CDEC's Sustainable Development actions and frameworks:

We are carrying out a number of projects and actions related to reducing the carbon footprint and decarbonising the construction sector (co-funded projects and public-private partnerships), such as the 2 examples of projects below:
- GROOF project, for "Greenhouses to Reduce CO2 on RooFs", an innovative cross-sectoral approach aimed at reducing CO2 emissions from the construction and agriculture sectors,
- the RCO2 project for "Reduce CO2", which aims to reduce CO2 emissions in the construction sector through training and awareness-raising among construction workers.

In addition, we are carrying out actions as part of our ecosystem in conjunction with the IFSB, including the implementation of a well-being strategy with, for example, the provision of massages for staff, sports activities, collaborative moments and team building.

We also publish an annual report on our financial and extra-financial indicators.

Finally, we also carry out our own carbon footprint, which enables us to steer our environmental and sustainable strategy in line with our challenges and values.
