ANA's Sustainable Development Policy:
ANA is committed to:
- Reducing its environmental impact and improving its environmental efficiency while complying with its legal, regulatory, safety and quality obligations.
- Preventing pollution and minimising the environmental impact of its operations and purchases.
- Using renewable energy and sustainable products whenever possible.
- Implementing effective operational procedures to reduce noise, emissions and fuel consumption.
- Achieve internal carbon neutrality by 2030 and contribute to the aviation sector's net zero target for 2050.
ANA's Sustainable Development actions and frameworks:
- ISO 14001 certified and EMAS registered environmental management system.
- 100% renewable electricity (mix of hydro, biomass, wind and solar power) and use of 100% carbon-neutral biogas for boilers.
- Gradual replacement of lighting on manoeuvring areas (runways and taxiways) with LEDs (78% of marker lights already installed).
- Elimination of all single-use plastics since 2020.
- SuperDrecksKëscht® fir Betriber certified waste management and targets for reducing household waste and cardboard/paper.
- Biodiversity project with on-site beehives since 2018.
- Optimisation of aeronautical procedures: CDO (Continuous Descent Operations) and CCO (Continuous Climb Operations).
- Regular dialogue with local residents and participation in noise action plans.
- Participation in the Skypark project (new high environmental performance building, scheduled for 2026).
