ANA's Sustainable Development Policy:

ANA is committed to:

  • Reducing its environmental impact and improving its environmental efficiency while complying with its legal, regulatory, safety and quality obligations.
  • Preventing pollution and minimising the environmental impact of its operations and purchases.
  • Using renewable energy and sustainable products whenever possible.
  • Implementing effective operational procedures to reduce noise, emissions and fuel consumption.
  • Achieve internal carbon neutrality by 2030 and contribute to the aviation sector's net zero target for 2050.

ANA's Sustainable Development actions and frameworks​:

  • ISO 14001 certified and EMAS registered environmental management system.
  • 100% renewable electricity (mix of hydro, biomass, wind and solar power) and use of 100% carbon-neutral biogas for boilers.
  • Gradual replacement of lighting on manoeuvring areas (runways and taxiways) with LEDs (78% of marker lights already installed).
  • Elimination of all single-use plastics since 2020.
  • SuperDrecksKëscht® fir Betriber certified waste management and targets for reducing household waste and cardboard/paper.
  • Biodiversity project with on-site beehives since 2018.
  • Optimisation of aeronautical procedures: CDO (Continuous Descent Operations) and CCO (Continuous Climb Operations).
  • Regular dialogue with local residents and participation in noise action plans.
  • Participation in the Skypark project (new high environmental performance building, scheduled for 2026).
