LuxConnect's motivations to participate in IMS Luxembourg’s activities:

LuxConnect acts in accordance with the general principles of corporate social responsibility, whether economic, social or environmental. In line with our CSR policy, we aim to provide a healthy and pleasant working environment. Joining the IMS was therefore a perfect fit with the values we promote and has enabled us to place greater emphasis on issues of diversity and well-being throughout our value chain.

LuxConnect's Sustainable Development Policy:

Since its creation in 2006, LuxConnect has prioritised the efficient and sustainable use of natural resources and aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. We are proud to be one of the data centre operators offering carbon-neutral facilities to its customers. This is evidenced by our 'Participant' and 'Endorser' labels awarded by the European Code of Conduct for Data Centers, our SDK label and our green certificate.

LuxConnect's Sustainable Development actions and frameworks:

Among the various measures we have taken in terms of sustainable development, we would like to highlight the following:

  • 100% of the electricity used by our Data Centres is green
  • We use natural cooling below 8°C outside temperature
  • The cooling of our green Data Centre, DC2, in Bissen, comes from the recycling of waste heat transformed into cold (Kiowatt). This process reduces our annual CO₂ emissions by more than 27,000 tonnes.
  • We have deployed a continuous energy efficiency improvement plan overseen by the government institution EnergieAgence
  • The Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of our various data centres is constantly measured and monitored
  • Waste heat from our servers is used to heat our offices and pre-heat our back-up generators
  • We have reduced lighting and associated costs by 30-50% compared with normal operation, thanks to the installation of a KNX management system
  • Photovoltaic panels have been installed on the roofs of DC1.1 and DC1.2
  • The surface of our roofs is extensively covered with a variety of plants, helping to retain some of the rainwater
