äResto's motivations for participating in IMS Luxembourg activities:

Since its creation in 2008, äResto has always been sensitive to nature, respect for products, the environment and well-being, with a strong environmental conscience. Healthy food prepared in a traditional, artisanal way, while providing visual, olfactory and gustatory pleasure, is part of our DNA. Sustainability, social inclusion and food quality are our mission's heart. äResto wishes to partner with IMS Luxembourg to activate other levers of sustainable transition and strengthen its commitment, inspire its partners, benefit from concrete tools and support, share its experiences, and continue improving its practices in line with the values we uphold daily.

äResto's Sustainable Development Policy:

äResto promotes responsible, local and inclusive food, and our policy is based on:

  • Sustainable sourcing: short and local supply chains, seasonal, organic or certified products.
  • The fight against food waste through prevention, training, process optimisation and innovation.
  • Respect for the environment: sustainable resource management, waste reduction, etc.
  • Social commitment: respect for human rights, well-being at work, equal opportunities, skills development, and safety at work.

äResto's Sustainable Development actions and framework:

äResto has already implemented several measures, and there are more to come:

  • Increasing the proportion of local, seasonal, organic and fair trade products.
  • Reducing food waste (weighing waste, using anti-waste glass jars, etc.).
  • Reducing the proportion of non-recyclable waste: selective sorting, reusable or compostable containers, etc.
  • Ongoing training for staff in sustainable best practices, responsible nutrition, food safety, eco-friendly actions, optimising energy consumption, and equipment maintenance.
  • Respect for human rights and well-being at work.
  • Monitoring of sustainable performance indicators (responsible sourcing, carbon footprint).
  • Transparent communication with stakeholders.
