From the outset, mankind has influenced ecosystems through its technological and technical innovations, necessary for economic and social progress. Although these innovations are profitable, they endanger the balance of biodiversity. Biodiversity, which is made up of animal and plant species, has a daily impact on the maintenance of human health, food, water, and energy. It is therefore a subsistence network where a single human-made change, such as deforestation, intensive monoculture, or urbanisation, can have irreversible consequences for one or more species.
On the occasion of the Luxembourg Sustainability Forum 2021, scientists, associations, and Luxembourg companies will testify about existing good practices in the country. They all encourage reflection and action, both collectively and individually.
Will be invited to share their expertise:
- Léa Bonblet, Director - Natur&ëmwelt a.s.b.l
