Art & Dialogue on Urban Regeneration through Nature, Art, Innovation, and Community with Gaialux and Luga

In partnership with LUGA Festival, Gaialux, an IMS associate member, invites you to four days of public events exploring how art, scientific research, and creative narrative can help reimagine life in our cities.

Program Overview
Rooted in SDG 11 (with links to SDGs 6, 8, 12, 15), this series explores practical pathways toward regenerative communities. Through art, readings, debates, and creative experiences, participants will engage with the challenges and opportunities of building new connections with Nature in urban settings.

2 October – 17h30 – 19h00 | Vernissage I.D.E.E.
Opening evening with music by Filippo Pizzoli and readings by Caterina Fava, inspired by artworks illustrating the 17 SDGs.

3 October – 13h00 – 17h00 | Somatic Creative Movement Workshop
Led by Caterina Fava, this workshop invites participants to rediscover the body as a space of presence, using the Laban/Bartenieff movement system.

4 October – 13h00 – 17h00 | Public Debate: ‘From Desertification to Regeneration’
A conversation on ecological collapse and regeneration, with case studies from the Caribbean and expert insights from CREA, LIST, STATEC, and ISTAT researchers.

5 October – 15h00 – 17h00 | Spot, Sketch & Share!
A participatory art workshop with Yang Yang to reimagine our relationship with Nature in urban spaces through sketching and painting.
