As part of Respect Month and World Refugee Day 2023, Alter & Ego asbl is organising several activities for the City of Dudelange - Equal Opportunities Department in collaboration with the Centre d'Accueil Dudelange Service Migrants & Réfugiés - Croix Rouge luxembourgeoise.
The PASSAGE simulation game is a UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees) educational tool designed to enable participants to experience life as a refugee fleeing war or persecution.
During this 2h30 role-play you will find yourself in the shoes of a refugee and their family: from fleeing, to the decision to leave the country, to arriving in Luxembourg via temporary shelter, crossing the border and settling in at home.
As long as there have been wars and persecutions, as long as there has been discrimination and intolerance, there have been refugees. They come from all ethnic groups and religions and can be found in every region of the world. This activity will give you a better understanding of the realities and difficulties they face.
