The Luxembourg government aims to accelerate the implementation of the circular economy, of which the mutualisation and sharing of products are key concepts targeted through the sharing economy. The sharing economy is thus an integral part of the measures to be implemented in the framework of the ecological transition of society.
To promote the deployment of sharing solutions, the Minister of Economy Franz Fayot is calling for projects aimed at interested economic actors to create spaces for sharing equipment in existing or future neighbourhoods.
These innovative projects promote the emergence of new concepts and business models that will be implemented and tested in the field. The pilot projects selected by the Ministry of the Economy following this call for projects are co-financed with and amount of 200,000 euros per project. This co-financing is intended to compensate for a lack of economic profitability in the launch phase of such projects.
Project proposals must be submitted by 16 June 2023 at the latest.
