The inclusion of autistic people in the workplace requires an understanding of the characteristics of the autism spectrum, modes of communication and interaction, as well as the implementation of practices that are adapted to and respectful of individual needs. Despite progress in diversity and inclusion, autism is often misunderstood, which can lead to barriers to employment, misunderstandings and unsatisfactory work experiences for those affected.
This workshop aims to provide professionals with fundamental knowledge about autism, practical tools to promote inclusion in the workplace, and a space for discussion based on a real-life case study to jointly develop strategies that can be applied within organisations.
