Human Rights: Access to remedy and the role of the OECD National Contact Points

With Dr. Başak Bağlayan, an expert on responsible business conduct, and secretary-general of the OECD National Contact Point of Luxembourg.

Among the core pillars of due diligence – risk assessment, prevention and mitigation, and remediation -this training session focuses on the last one. The session presents different forms of remedies for adverse impacts focusing in particular on the role of the OECD National Contact Points (NCPs). NCPs can handle enquiries and contribute to the resolution of issues related to human rights and non-observance of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises.
