The Luxembourg Federation of Underwater Activities and Sports (FLASSA) is a non-profit association. It is affiliated with the World Underwater Federation (CMAS) and the Luxembourg Olympic Committee (COSL).
FLASSA is administered by a board of directors composed of delegates from member societies. Its purpose is:
- to bring together under its leadership all societies practising underwater activities and sports recognised by the World Underwater Federation
- to develop, by all appropriate means, in the sporting, artistic and scientific fields, knowledge of the underwater world and the practice of all underwater sports and activities,
- to maintain friendly relations with sports associations in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and abroad,
- to organise national and international sporting events,
- to contribute to compliance with laws and regulations aimed at conserving underwater fauna, flora and resources.
- to train autonomous divers, examine them and award them federal certificates recognised by CMAS
