Founded on 11 November 1982 and recognised as an ONGD (non-governmental development organisation) and approved by the Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (MAEE), Iwwerliewen asbl aims to build resilient ecosystems capable of absorbing health, climate and economic shocks while paving the way for inclusive and sustainable development. Our work begins with protecting health: prevention, access to drinking water, and combating infectious diseases.
By strengthening the economic and social autonomy of communities, we support circular economy projects, notably by reducing dependence on imports and creating sustainable green jobs, thereby unlocking the potential of young people and women in particular.
