IMS Luxembourg has published a new multilingual teaching tool comprising 8 practical fact sheets, accessible to professionals who support young people in their study and career choices, as well as to companies.
Faced with a rapidly changing world of work, growing uncertainties and successive crises, young people are faced with increasingly complex career choices. In response to these challenges, IMS Luxembourg unveils the “Guidance in times of crisis: 8 essential life skills to help young people adapt” toolkit, available in English, French, German and Luxembourgish.
The fruit of a two-year project involving the collaboration of experts in education, career guidance and the business world, this toolbox offers practical ways to help young people develop key socio-emotional skills. Through 8 essential skills - such as emotional self-regulation, problem-solving and critical thinking - it provides professionals with the tools to create a more humane, attentive support framework, more in tune with contemporary challenges.
Success for the “Guidance in times of crisis” project
Launched in 2023, the two-year project brought together players in the field - teachers, psychologists and companies - to work towards a common goal: a better understanding of the needs and challenges of young people in a changing and uncertain world. Through personal accounts, workshops in secondary schools and conferences, this project has helped to develop a hybrid approach to guidance and counselling.
The publication of the toolkit marks the end of this project and provides companies, educational staff in schools and parents with a key tool for putting the lessons learned over these two years into practice. Designed to be flexible and adaptable, in the form of 8 practical sheets, the toolkit is aimed at all professionals in contact with young people aged 13 to 29.
