Published on 5 March 2025

Do emails and alerts follow you everywhere, even after you've finished work? It's time to reassess your relationship with digital technology.

In an increasingly connected world, the use of digital tools has become essential. However, faced with the growing challenges of hyperconnection, information overload and increased demands for productivity, it's essential to take a step back and refocus our use of digital technology to preserve our well-being at work.

This is the background to the best practice guide developed as part of the Techwell project. The guide aims to assess individual and organisational practices in the use of digital tools and to measure their effectiveness. It proposes concrete recommendations to promote a balance between performance and mental health at work.

The guide covers the following topics in particular:

  •  Email management
  • Optimising productivity
  • Learning to disconnect
  • Managing hyperconnection
  • Controlling information overload

By adopting the best practices recommended in this guide, businesses and employees can create a healthier and more efficient digital working environment.
