Act For Impact

Published on 6 February 2025

During the presentation conference of IMS Luxembourg, Nancy Thomas, Director of IMS Luxembourg, and Julien Demoulin, Vice-President of IMS Luxembourg, reflected on the highlights and resources of 2024, welcomed the 27 new member organisations to the network, and presented the key points of the association's strategy for 2025/2026.

The non-profit organisation's ambition is clear and revolves around six strategic axes. The objective is to act for greater impact by addressing businesses' concerns to inspire them in a concrete way. Practically speaking, IMS aims to provide even more practical tools and resources (such as sheets dedicated to SMEs), integrate young people into the governance and projects of IMS to develop new perspectives, and finally support Luxembourgish companies according to their levels of maturity through the training offers of the Sustainability Academy and IMS workshops.

The Latest Must-Have Resources
In 2024, 14 new resources were introduced. Among them, here are three essentials for any organisation: the first job reference framework for Sustainability Manager, the typology of the ESR label and B Corp certification, and "Mir sinn Antigaspi, an Dir?" the complete kit to raise awareness about food waste, local and organic food.

Sustainability Manager: Luxembourg's First Job Reference FrameworkThis document lists the missions, technical skills, interpersonal qualities, and transferable skills of the role of Sustainability Manager. It features testimonials from 15 Sustainability Managers who provide insights through their understanding, vision, and implementation of this role. Document reserved for IMS members – Request access at info@imslux.lu

Which Label/Certification for Your Company? This typology of the ESR label and B Corp certification outlines the eligibility conditions, benefits, and prerequisites for obtaining each initiative. In Luxembourg, the ESR label and B Corp certification provide a framework and standards to support companies’ sustainability efforts. Document is available online here.

« Mir sinn Antigaspi, an Dir ? », The Educational Kit
This project raises awareness about reducing food waste and promoting local and organic food. The kit includes presentations and challenges for children and parents to complete. The challenges are adaptable and replicable in companies. Most of the documents are interactive and available in French and Luxembourgish. Documents are available online here.
