The 2nd Sustainability Awards took place on 3 October 2024 and rewarded the organisations (private, public and associative in Luxembourg) implementing the best sustainable development practices. Every organisation in Luxembourg is invited to take inspiration from the nominated practices and replicate or adapt them to their environment.
12 practices nominated
The pre-judging panel selected the 12 nominated practices for each category from the many entries received. The criteria specified for each category were the impact of the practice, the innovative nature of the approach, the exemplary and replicable nature of the initiative, the extent to which the practice has been implemented, how the project is managed, and the extent to which it forms part of a long-term approach. The final jury, comprised of representatives from a wide range of stakeholders, selected the winners in the four categories on 23 September 2024.
The 2024 winners
The winners were celebrated at an evening event attended by jury members, the pre-jury and 200 participants. Four prizes and a ‘Coup de Coeur’ from the jury were awarded for outstanding initiatives. The trophies, created by artist Jacques Schneider, added a special touch to the event. The evening highlighted the innovative and responsible commitments of Luxembourg organisations.

- PEOPLE: Devoteam – #TechForPeople Program: empowering for a more inclusive and sustainable future with Tech
- PLANET: Composil – Carpet ReUse Program
- PROSPERITY: CERATIZIT – Product Carbon Footprint for carbide tools
- SUSTAINABILITY TEAM: BIL – A Journey Towards Sustainability
- JURY’S FAVOURITE: Restopolis – Food4Future – Towards More Sustainable Food Systems (F4F)
The next Sustainability Awards will take place in 2026, and organisations will be able to apply for the Diversity Awards of the Diversity Charter Lëtzebuerg in 2025.
