If you’d like to learn more about ways to promote disability inclusion in the workplace, join us for this information session dedicated to the HandiTeam Connect program. Whether you’re simply curious about the project or considering joining us, we’d be delighted to introduce you to the initiative and answer all your questions.
What is the program about?
HandiTeam Connect is a pilot project structured around pairs. It connects, within the same company or organization, a team manager and an employee affected by disability (either a person with a disability or a close relative). Together, they create a space for dialogue to foster disability inclusion in the workplace through:
- Five 1.5-hour meetings spread over 12 weeks;
- Support from IMS and a disability expert throughout these five sessions;
- A handbook to guide the pairs in their discussions during the meetings;
- Inter-company workshops to share insights on the topic.
Why promote inclusion?
Inclusion in the workplace challenges the company’s processes not only for employees with disabilities but for all staff, ultimately benefiting working conditions and the company’s overall economic prosperity.
In practice:
- An optimal framework for supportive and constructive exchanges;
- Exploration of all aspects of the company impacted by disability stakes (recruitment and career management, employability and leadership, performance, environmental accessibility, and regulatory framework);
- A guide to best practices for inclusion and support, developed by IMS in collaboration with partner companies;
- A communication campaign highlighting the participants;
- A grand closing event dedicated to disability.
This project is open to all companies and organizations, regardless of their level of maturity in disability inclusion in employment.
