The regulatory framework in relation to the topic of sustainability is currently being fundamentally changed in Europe with the agreement on the draft Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) that was reached in June 2022 by EU MEPs and governments.
From 2024, a number of companies will be required to produce non-financial reporting containing environmental, social and governance information in a new format. The financial sector is ahead of the game, with the various elements of the EU Sustainable Finance Action Plan coming into force in 2021.
How do the financial arrangements impact companies in other industrial and commercial sectors? Why do sustainability/CSR managers in these companies need to understand the implications of the Sustainable Finance Action Plan? What can financial actors be expected to do in their dealings with companies in other industrial and commercial sectors? Welcome to this dedicated workshop aiming at providing you with a better knowledge and understanding of the issue and at identifying with you a selection of topics to be deepened during following sessions.
