lunch&learn: Repair Cafés in professional organisations – Luxembourg City

Have you ever heard of the 5Rs? It is a waste reduction approach consisting of: Refusing, Reducing, Reusing, Recycling and Rooting.

In this event, as part of the REUSE project, we will focus on Reusing objects. These can range from office equipment, electronic equipment, but could also be about fixing bicycles or textiles. All consumer goods impact the environment as they require resources for their production (water, energy, mineral resources, etc.) and contribute to emitting greenhouse gases. When these items are damaged or broken, we tend to scrap them to get new ones. However, extending the life of these objects is essential if we want to reduce waste and negative impacts on the environment. Companies can also rise to challenge by repairing items used in the workplace.

But how to fix things when we don't have the skills, the tools, or the time?

In collaboration with the CELL (Centre for Ecological Learning Luxembourg), Repair Café Lëtzebuerg and Repair Together, we invite you to discover how Repair Cafés work and participate in a reflection workshop to integrate them into your professional organisations.
