According to the « Diversity & Business » Barometer 2016, 45% of the Diversity Charter signatories address sexual orientation and 40% gender identity within their diversity management policy. However, only 17% of the LGBTI co-workers are directly targeted by the signatories’ diversity policies.
Last May 17, during the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia (IDAHOT) and National Diversity Day, State Street and a dozen companies launched an LGBT & Allied Business Network to foster collaboration around this topic.
The City of Esch-sur-Alzette has been welcoming the GayMat - the LGBTI pride week organized by Rosa Lëtzebuerg- for years, being the only city in the Grand Duchy to have joined the Rainbow Cities Network. How can the various actors - non-profits, the public and the private sector - engage in favor of the LGBTI community in the Luxembourg society, but also in the world of work?
As part of the GayMat, we will address these issues with the signatories of the Diversity Charter, but also with the people concerned.
The Diversity Network presents practices implemented by signatory companies of the Charter on a given subject. This meeting of the Diversity Charter signatories provides an opportunity to exchange between participants on their practices, their challenges and questions on the LGBTI topic in their company, beyond the testimonies.
When? July 10, from 12am to 2pm
