Every individual across the world has the right to be treated with respect and dignity. This right should be granted for everyone. Right to life, to freedom, to safety, to health, to the respect of private life and to decent living conditions.
The respect of these universal rights are the shared responsibility of states and companies, who need to guarantee the protection of individuals against any kinds of abuses and discriminations.
Human rights are a priority objective and a directing principle of the United Nations, to such an extent that the Universal Declaration on Human Rights is the world’s most translated document. In Luxembourg, companies also need to constantly reconsider the respect of these rights since this assumes a legal conformity of the structure based in Luxembourg, but also that of the entirety of the value chain, which is too often neglected.
Committing to respecting these fundamental rights is the obligation of any organization.
