The IMS club dedicated to all professions linked to sustainable development is back for 2023! New year, new format: each meeting will take place in person once a month during lunchtime to create a round-table format for open discussions on current ESG/CSR topics. On top of that, a special guest will be invited to each session to join the discussion.
The topic of this session: Data & reporting
In past years, CSR was a duty of a single department. Nowadays it is impossible to delegate sustainability in a same way. It has to be a company-wide, strategic effort under a common accepted language, unified scope for the company itself and necessary proper data identification for measuring the impact. Although individual departments may be responsible for specific sustainability metrics and measurement. Nevertheless, it is of paramount importance the management as well as the sustainability leaders to agree upon a unified, company-wide sustainability data-analytics approach.
The live discussion of the SMC will act as a dialogue and brainstorming session in order to exchange views and opinions but also express ideas and share thoughts of working routines relevant to the topic. Participants will have the opportunity to elaborate on, share their practice, and discuss what barriers and obstacles they face in dealing with peers while trying to meet sustainability standards requirements as well as raters’ special requests. During the session the facilitator will share best practices and provide guidance through his theoretical but also practical engagement with stakeholders, sustainability data and relevant processes for data storing and usage.
