Bike school and conference on challenges and opportunities of mobility in Luxembourg
Test ride of electric bikes and cargo bikes, presentations on satellite offices and the end of the combustion car, meeting with active mobility services
Transport remains the second most polluting sector in Europe and significant efforts must be made to achieve the objective of climate neutrality by 2050. This remains a major challenge, both at the level of individuals and for businesses. The latter must encourage their employees to use sustainable mobility solutions, particularly for commuting.
This year, the theme of European Mobility Week is "Better Connections", between places and between people. We have therefore chosen to highlight different sustainable mobility solutions, used alone or in a multimodal approach, during a morning that will be both active and inspiring with the following program:
- 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.: Let’s cycle! In partnership with the ACL, we will organize a bike-school course. Everyone will be invited to gain confidence in using a bike in the city thanks to the support of instructors who will give you valuable advice.
The objective of this workshop is to promote cohabitation between pedestrians, cyclists and motorists. There will be an agility course as well as an itinerary in the Cloche d'Or district to allow you to familiarise yourself with riding a bike in the city in complete safety.
(we plan to provide bikes but feel free to bring your own if possible)
- 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.:
- Presentation of the National Mobility Plan 2035, by Mr Christophe Reuter, Ministry of Mobility and Public Works, followed by questions and answers.
- Presentation of PwC satellite offices, by Anne-Sophie Preud’homme, Partner, PwC.
- Will Europe really put an end to combustion-powered cars? ACL
- 10:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.: let’s celebrate the theme “Better Connections” during a networking moment where you will also have the opportunity to pass by stands where speakers highlighting sustainable mobility will be waiting for you:
- Bike agility course, in the continuity of the bike-school with the ACL
- Quizz “The Mobility Game in Luxembourg”
- The Happy Cyclist
- Klaxit
- Luxmobility: presentation of the training course in partnership with the Sustainability Academy (Mobility management in companies, on the way to carbon neutrality)

Limited number of registrations - Over 50 people a waiting list will be created
French will be the main language used for this event but the Bike school will be in several languages (French, German, Luxembourgish and English)
