The issue of honeybee population collapse, widely mediatized, is only the tip of the iceberg: Biodiversity is declining at an unprecedented rate. The health of the planet’s ecosystems has reached a dangerous tipping point, with a massive extinction of species (plant or animal) worldwide putting economies and societies wellbeing at risk.
The good news is that any company can promote biodiversity and makes a positive impact, be it along the supply chain or on the company's premises, through Nature-based solutions such as creating a wildflower meadow or setting-up beehives. Nature-based solutions are interventions based on natural functions of healthy ecosystems to tackle some of the most pressing challenges of our time such as global warming or biodiversity loss. Nature-based solutions start slowly but surely to find their place in corporate strategies for their huge range of opportunities!
