Iles de Paix is an NGO founded in Belgium over 50 years ago by Dominique Pire, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1958. The Luxembourg branch of Iles de Paix has been active in Luxembourg since 1955, is accredited by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (MAEE) and is a member of the Cercle des ONG.

Our association trains and supports rural populations in precarious situations so that they can ensure their food security and improve their quality of life in a sustainable and autonomous way. In Africa and Latin America, our teams work daily in the field to promote sustainable family farming and responsible eating. Many of our initiatives are also aimed specifically at supporting women.

We are currently working in Burkina Faso, Benin, Tanzania, Uganda and Peru.

One of the main focuses of Iles de Paix's work is training, with the aim of helping people to take control of their own destiny and take charge of their own development over the long term.

Its main field of action: International Solidarity
