GERO - Kompetenzzenter fir den Alter (Centre de compétence gérontologique) underlines its commitment to innovative approaches that have a positive impact on the lives of older people in Luxembourg. This initiative is innovative, participative, progressive and diversified. GERO takes its name from the term gerontology, the science of aging. Ageing in all its facets is at the heart of GERO's three main areas: geroAKTIV, geroPRO and geroRESEARCH. Age-related projects are becoming increasingly important, and are carried out by our multidisciplinary team in conjunction with professional partners and senior volunteers. Acceptance and tolerance are our guiding principles, as are practical relevance and a scientifically-based approach.
