The High Council for Sustainable Development (CSDD) invites you to the conference debate:
Between societal challenges and planetary limits
How can the Doughnut Economy model help converge governmental actions in Luxembourg?
The Doughnut Economy, a concept developed by British economist Kate Raworth, presents an economic model based on sustainability, combining global limits and social boundaries. All over the world, this theory is being implemented in concrete projects. Together with Barbara Trachte, Secretary of State for Economic Transition and Scientific Research of the Brussels-Capital Region, Barbara Goffin and Géraldine Thiry, two representatives of the Brussels Donut organisation, will present their application of the Doughnut model to the Brussels-Capital Region during this conference.
In Luxembourg, too, many actions are being taken to address societal challenges and global limits. Ministers Corinne Cahen, Franz Fayot and Joëlle Welfring will discuss current and future government initiatives.
The conference-debate and interactive exchange with the audience will be moderated by Nancy Thomas and Norry Schneider from "Nohaltegkeetsrot". The conference will be held in French.
