Deforestation, urbanisation, industrial agriculture... Since 2000, hundreds of scientists have been sounding the alarm: human activities, by precipitating the collapse of biodiversity, have created the conditions for an "epidemic of pandemics".
By providing an overview accessible to all through unpublished interviews with more than sixty researchers worldwide, Marie-Monique Robin helps citizens, companies, and political decision-makers understand why economic globalisation is a direct threat to planetary health. So how to take action?
On the occasion of its month dedicated to biodiversity, IMS Luxembourg invites you to the film premiere of "La Fabrique des Pandémies" in the presence of its director on April 26th from 5:30 pm at the Kinépolis Kirchberg. A conference debate and a cocktail will follow the screening.

Marie-Monique Robin
French investigative journalist, filmmaker and writer Marie-Monique Robin focus on social and environmental justice. Her work has received numerous awards, including the Albert-London Prize in 1995 and the Norwegian Rachel Carson Prize in 2009. Her extensive filmography, which reflects her in-depth investigations in the field, includes the success of “Le Monde selon Monsanto” (The world according to Monsanto) in 2018 and “Qu’est-ce qu’on attend ?” (What are we waiting for?) in 2016. With “La Fabrique des Pandémies” (the pandemic factory), Marie-Monique Robin makes a stark observation: if nothing is done to halt the destruction of ecosystems, we will experience epidemics of even greater magnitude. Based on unique interviews with researchers from all over the world, she unfolds the mechanisms at work in this terrible escalation.
