Eighth workshop – Focus on the finance sector

The Science-Based Targets & Climate Action Luxembourg Task Force's main objective is to help your organization set and achieve greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction targets according to climate science. It aims to create a collaborative platform where everyone can discuss the topic and learn from experts and organizations already engaged in the process. It will also help to create synergies to make your company a climate leader in Luxembourg. The Task Force will be inspired by the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

The eighth workshop of the Task Force will take place on 13 January and will address more specifically the existing opportunities for the finance sector to reduce their GHG emissions. It will include :

  • An introduction to the different existing initiatives (e.g. Net-Zero Asset Owner Alliance) for the finance sector 
  • Explanations on the specific SBTi guide for the finance sector and its future perspectives
  • A group exercise 
  • Testimony of a company active in the finance sctorthat has implemented a GHG reduction approach 
  • A Q&A session.

When? January 13, 2 pm – 4 pm

For whom?  IMS members. 
With whom? Evan Hirsch (Baringa) and an organization from the finance sector having implemented a GHG reduction approach
