DIVERSITY NETWORK “ AGE MANAGEMENT: BUILDING AN INCLUSIVE CULTURE”

With three to four different generations entering the workforce, the rules of the game change, especially within companies. In order to prepare for it, they might have to reconsider their D&I strategy or implement age management practices. However, the generational mix also challenges the traditional company and management model.

Many studies show that the younger generations entering the workforce have different expectations regarding work, their career evolution and the way they would like to be managed. These expectations might impact a company’s capacity to retain these talents and to ensure a social cohesion between generations if not correctly managed.

According to the 2016 “Diversity and Business” barometer, 67% of the Diversity Charter signatories address the Gen Y and 63% address the elder generation in their diversity management policies.

How can companies facilitate the dialogue between generations? What is at stake? Are some of the questions we will address with Linklaters’ Global Diversity Manager, Daniel Danso.
