Inventory of projects completed since 2016 as part of the Third Industrial Revolution strategy

Published on 7 December 2020

As initiators of the strategy of the "third industrial revolution", the Ministry of Economy, the Chamber of Commerce and IMS Luxembourg have just started, in collaboration with the Chamber of Employees, a census and inventory of the projects carried out or begun within the framework of the so-called "Rifkin" study since its launch in 2016.

The "Rifkin" study, which is the result of a multi-disciplinary approach, has served as a guideline for government action and various private initiatives to prepare Luxembourg society and the economy for digitalization, decarbonization and the efficient use of resources - as well as for new economic models, including the circular economy.

In line with the collaborative and participative approach of the "third industrial revolution" project, the actors of the civil and economic life of the country who have carried out or launched a project, a plan or an action contributing to one of the strategic measures corresponding to one of the nine pillars of the "Rifkin" report (energy, mobility, construction, food, industry, finance, smart economy, circular and prosumer economy and social model) are invited to complete the online form available on the website tirlux.lu; the questionnaire will be open until the end of January 2021.

The inventory of all the projects and the state of progress of their implementation are part of the strategic analyses, and prospective reflections carried out within the Ministry of Economy by the "Luxembourg Strategy" unit, which is in charge of the elaboration of long-term strategies for economic development and transition integrating social and environmental aspects.
