Highlight on childcare professionals!
For this International Men's Day, November 19, 2020, the Ministry of Equality and Infomann are highlighting gender diversity in social sector professions. Following the clip made for the Day in 2019 on the theme "Men whoCare", the Ministry has made a new clip with testimonials from educators in the socio-educational sector.
Discover the stories and views on these professions that are still too often subject to prejudice.
In line with the theoretical studies carried out with the University of Luxembourg, the Ministry wishes to question the gender stereotypes associated with certain professions.
International Men's Day, celebrated annually on 19 November, is an opportunity to show that masculinity is a multidimensional concept.
Initially organized in 1999 to promote the health of boys and men, the focus today is on discrimination against them in certain areas such as judicial sanctions or social attitudes and expectations, without neglecting the improvement of gender relations and the promotion of equality between women and men in general.
