The Centre d'Initiative et de Gestion Local (CIGL) of Esch-sur-Alzette is a non-profit association of solidarity economy born in 1997.

The association pursues two main objectives. The first is to help unemployed people to find a job and reintegrate into social life. The second is to develop services that meet the unmet needs of the population. The CIGL Esch defends an economic system that is concerned with greater solidarity and equity. Within the framework of projects of common interest, the association works towards sustainable local development in many areas of the economy:

- services to individuals and the community
- education and care services for in-school and out-of-school children
- organic market gardening and environmental education
- sustainable development
- enhancement of the tourist heritage
- ...

The association works closely with the various public and private bodies active in the field of employment and training to create a framework conducive to the objectives pursued.

Its main field of action: Integration and social action
