The Sustainable development report 2017 – ArcelorMittal in Luxembourg is now available. It covers the actions carried out in the country by this IMS member during the year 2017, reflecting its commitment as a social and responsible company.
Last year was a milestone in the professionalisation of its CSR policy, with the launch of a project led by the Sustainable Development Committee which gathers the CEOs of ArcelorMittal industrial sites in Luxembourg and various internal experts under the responsibility of Mr. Roland Bastian, Head of Country Luxembourg. This project led to the development of a materiality matrix defining more precisely the economic, social and environmental impacts of ArcelorMittal in Luxembourg and their influences on its stakeholders.
The materiality analysis carried out will help ArcelorMittal to conduct its CSR policy in Luxembourg in a refined way, and will naturally inspire the content of its CSR reporting.
ArcelorMittal is actively involved in IMS projects and Nancy Marinelli, social assistant of the Health Department, testifies to her involvement in skills workshops or co-creation workshops on the prevention of over-indebtedness:
Perfectly aligned with ambition to produce a safe and sustainable steel, this approach confirms the commitment of the company to its stakeholders and demonstrates its involvement to continue its actions in favor of Sustainable Development.
