Luxembourg Sustainability Forum 2017 marks spirits for 10 years of IMS

Published on 22 November 2017

On the 21st of November was the 7th edition of the Luxembourg Sustainability Forum, gathering more than 500 participants around a diversified program, celebrating 10 years of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Network IMS in Luxembourg.

The perfect opportunity to unite the network’s members, stakeholders and numerous guests around issues of sustainability and development. The Forum was inaugurated by Natasha Tsakos, artist and UN Arts 2030 ambassador, who amazed the audience with her show CLIMAX and was followed by Jean Jouzel, climatologist, glaciologist and former vice-president of the Scientific Working Group IPCC (co-laureat of the Nobel Peace Prize in 2017) and Lewis Pugh, endurance swimmer and UN Patron of the Ocean. All three have put forward the urgent need to act in favour of our planet in this time of change and the wish to build a more resilient world for future generations.

Next to those big names, IMS invited representative of Luxembourgish as well as international companies, politicians and academics, discussing diverse topics such as urban agriculture, well-being in the work place and the results of an IMS Survey on the state of play of CSR in Luxembourg.

For this special occasion, IMS Luxembourg wishes to highlight the urgent need to act against climate change. The conferences were accompanied by an exhibition featuring exclusive photographs taken by the astronaut Thomas Pesquet that illustrate, from space, the beauty and fragility of our blue planet.

With 120 active members, IMS is today recognised for its expertise and CSR leadership as well as for putting in place innovative solutions within companies in the Grand Duchy.
